Jose Zelaya is a Nevada entrepreneur, construction professional, and community leader with more than 25 years of industry experience and over 15 years in advanced sales, business development, and marketing.
Born in El Salvador and brought to the United States at the age of four, he has proudly called Las Vegas home since 2003. Throughout his career, Jose has launched seven businesses and helped scale multiple organizations through relationship-driven leadership and strategic growth. While serving as Marketing Director for a medical practice, he helped grow the insurance-side business by approximately 30% through targeted outreach and operational improvements. Jose currently owns a gate automation company and serves as Secretary of the Nevada Hispanic Construction Alliance.
He has also held leadership roles across several boards, committees, and civic organizations, where he has focused on building partnerships and mentoring others in business and leadership.
His first major leadership role came in 2008 when he was elected President of the Sin City Sport Bikes motorcycle organization. During his term, membership grew from about 12 active riders to more than 50 through structured leadership, outreach, and community-building efforts, shaping his belief that effective leadership is grounded in character, accountability, and service.
Jose’s campaign is rooted in the belief that government should operate with the same accountability, transparency, and results-driven mindset required to run successful businesses. His top priorities include strengthening support systems for veterans, addressing mental health challenges, improving education outcomes, and expanding affordable housing opportunities.
A devoted husband and father of two, Jose is active in his church community and regularly mentors individuals in developing business and leadership skills. His campaign is built on integrity, service, and a commitment to ensuring government works for the people it serves.
